Dutchvdm Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Hi Guys, Very good DD!! In contrast to what i expected i like the looks of the Yak-7. It looks bulky and sturdy. And the fact that are going to backtrack to fix existing assets on the Moscow map shows dedicating and loyalty to the customer base. Good work! Thnx M
dburne Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Awesome news today gang! I am excited about the work being done on implementation of mirrors, thank you!
majkel Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Awesome update. Are you going to implement independent mirror view for each eye in vr?
JG5_Zesphr Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Is IL-2: BoK going to be the last batch of aircraft for the eastern front or can we expect one or two more premiums before the pacific theatre?
Feathered_IV Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Shoot, I totally forgot what day it was! That's great news about the optimised airfields. I had a pretty severe fps hit on them and was wondering if it was just me. 1

FTC_Etherlight Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Very very excited about the Tacview implementation. I feel that's the hidden star of the DD this time. Maybe with this tool people can properly analyze their engagements in the future, which will dispel some weird myths about the performance of planes in the game. As an avid DCS guy one cannot understate the value and importance of proper analysis when it comes to "Why did I lose this engagement? :'("
Scojo Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 What are the expected release dates for the P-39 and A-20, again?
Riderocket Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 What are the expected release dates for the P-39 and A-20, again? Scojo Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Thanks, Riderocket. I have to wait until November May can't come fast enough. Nice! What planes do have mirrors btw? Spit and Yak7 are the two I know of 2
BMA_FlyingShark Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Spit and Yak7 are the two I know of The P 40 had a mirror too, I hope they add it to the sim. 2
ShamrockOneFive Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Really happy to have a first look at the Yak-7B! Thanks for the update. Though I haven't really had any performance loss over Moscow airfields, I'm sure the improvement will be a welcome one for many. The mirrors sound great!
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Filing this one at the intersection of "Huh." and "Neat!" 2
6./ZG26_Gielow Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) I think rear mirrors are totally superfluous We could use those expensive developing hours on much need mods for the planes available. I would easily trade my 111 rear mirrors for turrets. More fun for players, no performance hit or endeless bugs which will consume more devs hours to solve it. Edited April 20, 2017 by 6./ZG26_Gielow
keeno Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Nice update, the Yak looks great, at first glance I thought it was a Hurricane, I nearly fell off my chair!! Cheers
JG4_Sputnik Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Nice, thanks for the update!Cause now I have very big interest in this sim again
Chief_Mouser Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Great. Always liked having a mirror - or a rear gunner!
Scojo Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Great. Always liked having a mirror - or a rear gunner! Considering AI gunners don't warn you in any helpful way or even on time, I wish I could replace them with mirrors
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) Is IL-2: BoK going to be the last batch of aircraft for the eastern front or can we expect one or two more premiums before the pacific theatre? Jason said, shortly after the BoK announcement, they would like to do a 109 G-6 and an La-5FN. There is no timeline and no guarantee but they know the community wants them. If they are ahead of schedule and there is time they will. The team, however, is on an extremely tight budget for both time and money. If it can't be done within those parameters it simply won't happen. They cannot extend any timelines to accommodate two premium aircraft before moving to the Pacific. smink1701 Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Nice update… Now that you have the mirrors worked out bring on the Spit!
Jade_Monkey Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Awesome! Mirrors will be interesting, and the airfield optimization is always welcome. With the long cockpit the yak looks like the soccer mom van of all fighters.
Scojo Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Nice update… Now that you have the mirrors worked out bring on the Spit! I got more of an impression that they're working on them, not finished yet. November!!! Well, I will wait, what else. Your pain, I feel.
PB0_Foxy Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I've just made an online flight and record a track and when I've wanted to share it with my friend I saw the ACMI file in the folder Amazing ! It's already working even if it's missing some stuff ! that will be a great addition when it's gonna be fully implemented
senseispcc Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 If I remember correctly from what i did read in Yakovlev memories (a long time ago and in French) the Yak7 fighter was a development extracted from the Yak 7 UTI two seater trainer with at first little changes then when the series did progress more and more so as to have a pure fighter but still with light armament. I say thanks to the development team that tries and succeed in improving the game, making it more complex but not hungrier for machine power, thanks!
Avimimus Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Any word on whether there are plans for a bubble canopy Yak-7? It is my favourite Yak. 1
=gRiJ=Roman- Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Nice stuff coming ..... Just a question, when will the new water graphics be coming? Thanks Devs
