Hitting view limitations too much fix

Several posts potentially about people having this issue, in some cases maybe a possible fix should be posted more prominently ? VR faq's ?

Go back into the normal, monitor, playing mode.

Adjust view with Pg up/ Pg Dn, End / Home keys etc and then save with F10.

Go back to playing in VR.

It's not the answer to everything ( that's, 49) but might help solve some users issues, especially leaning forward and having the cockpit move too.

Thanks for the tip!

Should the default view be adjusted forward or backward in order to expand the forward movement in the VR-cockpit?

Is it really that long since I read a Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy? Senility can't be far away.

Move back, I think, but can't remember and don't have time to check (my wife is watching me). If you move your view back then you don't come into contact with the front wall and therefore don't get that immersion breaking graphics glitch.

There isn't really any advantage in having it to close anyway, sighting isn't affected and with BoX's great VR implementation the gauges are very readable anyway.

I would think backwards ..

If you picture say a 20" bubble around your pilots head (what the keys move)
and your VR head if placed within that Moving pilots head bubble back would place your VR at the front of said bubble.

Also Move Pilots head back,
Move your Real life Chair back,
Save
Re-enable VR and move Real life chair back Pilots head should move closer to sights accordingly..

Disclaimer:
i dont have VR but friends with it who also trying to sort issues
and i have common sense :D

Common sense, but in this case wrong, I think. It doesn't work quite the same. The view restriction, particularly to the front is not the gunsight or canopy, it's an invisible wall. If you hit this wall then the view does odd things. Having your head to close to the edges of this invisible bubble causes issues you need it just right for each aircraft you're in, bombers being slightly different, maybe having a bigger bubble and in the case of the 111 and 88 having it off centre from the pilots position. In fact that might be it, it's a bubble. If it's big enough back to front then it's too big and extends past the sides, principle fighters, defeating the object of the exercise, if it's small enough for the canopy sides then it also limits movement forwards and back.

It would seem to me, especially as Jason has already stated they cannot refine this view bubble, it would make more sense to make this cockpit view restriction setting an option in Expert rather than forced on in Expert.

Make it to where it is a Server side enforced setting, therefore those wishing to play in Expert without the restriction could do so unless they join a MP server that has the option set to On.

Quite agree. Any possible exploitation is greatly overrated and doesn't, unless maybe you're a double jointed gymnast with very long arms, add very much, certainly no more than is currently exploitable with TrackIR.

I too, can see why folk might initially balk at the possible cheatability of an HMD user, but the reality is that it's simply not practical to do and the average Track IR user (of which I am one) has a definite advantage at the moment even with head bumping off.
