TrackIR and Pilot Head Control

Maybe I have something not set up right.  But I am used to using my TrackIR in what I guess is that 6th degree.  In some other games if I lean forward I am zooming in or if I lean back I am zooming out.  In BOS it seems I have to use the PILOT HEAD control, PILOT HEAD ZOOM IN/OUT.

There is another that I can't get to work at all and that is MOVE PILOT HEAD UP,  but that seems to work just fine using TRACK IR to get the affect.

 

Is that just the way things are for now or is there some set up that is causing this.
