davidemo89 Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Hi, I have just bought your game and it seems very cool so far with an old microsoft sidewinder 2 :D I want ofc play it only with htc vive but I have a very big problem. I see a black line near my nose on my left and right eye. I don't have ofc this problem in other games. If I close one eye and watch near my nose I just see a black screen, like if the game is not in full screen, instead of seeing the curvature of the lense. If I do this test with other games or just with steamvr loading screen, I see the curvature of the lense (full screen). How do I fix this? :-( i5 6600k gtx 1070
davidemo89 Posted April 17, 2017 Author Posted April 17, 2017 Oh, I noticed I can screenshot the problem Wow, it's really... not full screen xD
1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Do you have the Full screen unchecked in BOS? What settings are you using with the Vive?
davidemo89 Posted April 17, 2017 Author Posted April 17, 2017 Do you have the Full screen unchecked in BOS? What settings are you using with the Vive? Yes, fullscreen is unchecked. I'm using 1.6 super sampling like in every game on steamvr advanced settings
1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 (edited) Hum, I'm at 1.3 ss I cant seem to make mine do what yours is doing. Startup config? Other than the Hud_rad and size. Edited April 17, 2017 by 1./KG4_Blackwolf
=IL2AU=chappyj Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 (edited) that looks like you are running in extended mode. make sure you're in direct mode otherwise perhaps IPD setting in the config compared to your ipd in steam? Edited April 18, 2017 by =WFPK=chappyj
davidemo89 Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 Nope not working. Tryed the game settings from 1./KG4_Blackwolf but nothing to do. It's not in extended mode. Well, steamvr it's telling me it's not, every game runs perfectly but this game not. How do I compare IPD settings? No dev here around that can help me? I think if you watch the screenshot should be easy to say what is wrong :-(
coconut Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 If you want direct help from developers, you have to go through support. This forum is primarily for interaction between users, although developers do intervene now and then.
Beazil Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 And you should be full screen with hmd box checked.
davidemo89 Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 And you should be full screen with hmd box checked.Hmd box is checked but not full screen in my hmd
1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Dang, sorry I couldn't be more help. I have tried to make my Vive see as you do but Its full screen all the time no matter what I change. You may want to start a ticket to the Devs..support ..with your screenshot. Hope they can figure it out or maybe someone will come along that has had this problem and knows the fix. Good luck to you, I hope you get it sorted. If you do... post what it was that fixed it, so we know.
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) Hmd box is checked but not full screen in my hmdwhere is it plugged in on your Video card? displayport or hdmi port? also ensure your adapter from the video to the box is correct, try switching cables? it looks to me to be a signal issue. in fact it looks as though you have it in portrait mode.. on the NVIDIA display or check on your mirror VR setting. show us your NVIDIA display GUI, panel. Slugga Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 If the line can be seen in the screen shot there there is an issue with the actual render in game. I would try maybe disabling 1.6SS and just let it do 1|1 to see if it is related, turn off AA, run through steam vr setup again. (if you have VR advanced settings i would reset to default for anything else you might have changed by chance.) those are the first things I would try.
Nammi-namm Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I'm adding in here I too have this issue on the Vive, I've had this issue for over a year since the game first came out, hoping it would eventually be fixed. This is what it looks like on my end. I've never had this happen in another game, I play in direct mode, but I did play around with the game before direct mode was even possible with BoX in VR.
davidemo89 Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 Vive users have this problem for one year now. I think they don't care :-(
