JG4_Sputnik Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Since VR, when I "exit" the game, steam tells me that the game is still running. Even though the task manager says otherwise. Have to quit steam through the task manager. Also, the game doesn't save my settings that I want to play in VR. Every time I start the game I have to tick the VR box again and then restart. Any ideas? Thanks!
OrLoK Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Ive noticed I have to manually turn off steam VR and then it closes properly. I also have to choose VR or normal , but then again I like to skin etc in 2d so, for me, its ok.
JG4_Sputnik Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 Ah thanks. But what does that mean? You mean after you've closed Il2, then also close Steam VR? Because Steam VR is also closed then as far as I've tried. I use Oculus Rift btw. But I'll look into it again.

No, while Steam VR will start up automatically when you launch BOS, after exiting Steam VR stays running. I see it's little icon in the lower right corner of my monitor, I just click close from there to close Steam VR. At least that is how it works for me.
OrLoK Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Thats it. I can also turn it off at the top right of the Steam window.

Unless one is playing the game from inside Steam, there is really no reason to have the main Steam screen up and running. I don't use Steam for the game itself, so I just launch BoS and then of course Steam VR starts up by itself. Edited April 18, 2017 by dburne
JG4_Sputnik Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 Sorry, don't know. However, the problem remains. I have no such icons to exit Steam VR. Also my task manager tells me that Steam VR isn't running... strange.
