RTB white flare ?

When you order your flight to return to base should your aircraft automatically fire off a white flare or is it a bug ?

 

Should you see exhaust flames from the exhaust of the He111 H-16 ?

There are a few orders with automatic flairs, white for RTB, green for cover me, etc.

I use flares so my teammates can find me when they're lost! (Or vise versa)
