Windows 10 "Game Mode"

It says to push Win + G to open game bar, then click on "this is a game", however in this game, Win + G doesn't do anything!

 

anyone know how to get this working, would really like the FPS boost.

I don't have the Creators Update just yet. It downloaded last night and is waiting for me to give it the signal to go ahead and patch.

 

One idea. You could go directly into the game centre (or is it still called Xbox) and try and see if you can add it to the list there.

launching the game from the Xbox app still has no effect /:

 

also, all windows key commands do not work (except Alt + F4) when running this game, i wonder if there's a file in windows i could edit to add it to the game list manually?

 

Edit: Tried using Xbox controller and pushing the Xbox logo, still did not bring up the game bar.

so for anyone else with this issue, run game in windowed mode, push Win+G activate game mode, and restart in full screen

well it's the same thing if you're using XBOX gaming on windows 10, so no difference for me. it's been win+G for 2 years that I know of for the XBOX recording games on windows 10.

What's the benefit of Win10 game mode and is it worth it ?

From what I've read, it turns off things like windows update, and also priorities your game more so then other programs, right now its early in development, and not very noticeable, but Microsoft say in time it'll get better, just leave it on and forget about it
