Multiple installs

I had originally installed BoS and then bought BoM and did a seperate install of that game.  I have windows 10 installed and BoS is on Program Files (x86)/1C Game Studios/IL2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad . Now on my Program Files drive I have Program Files/1C Game Studios/IL2.  Now, do I need to have two seperate installs of this game?............ I have two launcher icons on my desk top, one says it comes from the BoS and the other says it comes from BoM.  I get pretty much the same thing when I use either one, with a few different variations between the two.  The major one is with controllers with the settings. When I use the BoS icon some of the settings do not work correctly.  i.e. camera zoom in BoS is either full zoom in or full zoom out, no smooth transition, in BoM it works as it should.  Again, did I need to use the installer for each game to get both to work?

 

And is it just my install of the campaign for BoM first chapter just the same mission over and over and over and over........................  I've done 10 sorties and it's the same mission, same time, same target, same brief... and I'm using the BoM launcher icon......
