twgin Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 HTC Vive on a Windows 10 system... Enjoying IL2 VR; I use X-Plane with FlyInside and DCS also. I can't shake the feeling in the P-40 that the "scale" is off somehow. It feels like I am about 80% of the size I should be; everything in the cockpit looks too big. I wonder if some Vive settings from another application (steam VR ? FlyInside ?) are "left over" and causing this. I have had similar experience with FlyInside, felt like a midget sitting inside a huge cockpit; to this day I'm not sure how I cured that problem ! Does anyone else get this impression ? Terry
HagarTheHorrible Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 P40 is American, duh ! Ergo, it's bigger and shinier, it's just the way life is. It might be all that sun, I think it goes to their collective head.
Gunsmith86 Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 The P40 is actually that big nothing wrong with the scale in IL2. Its one of the really good things about VR that for the first time we can see how big or small some of the planes are.
HagarTheHorrible Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 The Mig 3's cockpit is bigger than I expected but then the Ju 88 and He111 cockpits are smaller. In the 88 you'd have enough problems picking up,the cat let alone swinging it about.
Capt_Stubing Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Wait until we get a P-47 then you will see a size difference
