How to deal with canopy collisions?

I have no problem with the view limits. Actually, I rather like it, although the unsync between head and view is not good for nausea. After playing for a bit, I have started minding the canopy glass when turning, just like I would IRL.

 

I think this is highly individual though. I just prefer it to popping my face out through the glass, or into the dash. That is a far greater "immersion killer" for me.

 

A fade or turn to black or grey would be horrible for game play I think. Imagine if accidently bumping your head on the glass and everything just tints.

 

The most player friendly is face through geometry, or boundaries for those who can stomach it. And I'm in the boundaries camp.

For me at least, I find I would have to exert a special effort to put my face through the canopy or dash.

And I find I just don't do it anyway during a flight which is why I just don't fly currently with that restrict option enabled.

 

I will have to enable it and give it a try here soon to see what it is like in my Yak-1. I do hope to eventually fly in Expert mode as I gain more experience, so I might as well start getting used to it a little I guess.

Thanks for the offer, and I certainly will advise when I feel I am ready!

I want to improve some first by gaining some more experience, especially with learning proper engine management on Expert mode.

So far have been flying on Normal and letting the game handle the engine management.

Is the head clipping *bad* on the 109s? Im a russkie player myself. I know they have tiny pits.
