The Laucher doesn't Launch

So keen to try the VR with iL-2 I took up the offer on iL-2 site for 50% off and have downloaded the il2-setup_BOS.exe file and installed it on my pc. 

 

The key is activated but when I press the shortcut or the Launcher.exe, even when I 'Run as Administrator', nothing happens, no error message, no response.  Nothing.  

 

I have tried uninstalling & re-installing the again but I get no response from the launcher.

 

My system specs are:

 

3930K, 980Ti, 32GB RAM

W10 x64 with Creator Update

 

I'm completely baffled & would appreciate some advice on how to get the game up and running.

If anyone else has this issue, I found that the problem for me was running MSI Afterburner.  Closing the application along with RivaTuner allows the Launcher to launch.  Now having issues logging in :-/

 

EDIT: Although password was correct, I found by changing my password on the iL2 site and entering the new password into the login box in-game, logged me in pretty instantly.

No. I do not have MSI Afterburner. Game still does not start. So I think that MSI Afterburner is not the problem

Not sure if you have a thread elsewhere with your specific problem, and with information about your pc specification, game format (steam or standalone) & exact sequence of events that happen when you either press the Launcher.exe or iL2,exe.

 

For me, I had the standalone and still I can't launch the launcher when MSI Afterburner is running, however I can launch il-2.exe directly without closing MSI.  Obviously I needed to launch the launcher the 1st time as it needed to download all the game files but now I just use the il2.exe but will occasionally close mSI and go via the launcher just incase their is an update/patch.

 

Sorry this was of no help to you but I think you need to provide a more detailed explanation of your environment (PC/OS/Software) & what occurs.  Good luck.

Odd, I am running Afterburner ( 4.3.0) and Windows 10 , Launcher working fine for me.

The stamps are automatically affixed when one buys into the pre-order.

For instance if you purchase BoK now, you would get a badge for it.

Now i have the Problem too.

yesterday i was online with il2 in FNBF mapchanging, suddenly IL2 crashed

try to log in again

no Chance

message from windows IL2 dont function anymore , we will inform you about Outcome (Translation from german to english)

 

1. try to repair Programm data via steam, still doesnt work

2.deinstall Nvidea experience, still doesnt work

3.also try to log in as admin direct from il2 .exe, still doesnt work

any idea?

I also had this issue. Problem was MSI afterburner. I made a profile in the rivaturnerstatisticserver app setting Application detection level to NONE and now it works with MSI afterburner ON.

I was in the same situation, closing MSI Afterburner fixed it immediately. It only started going wrong after the Creator's Update.

Same here, after Creators Edition update Launcher wouldn't work with MSI Afterburner running
