R.A.M-mopia Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Hey, When i start up the game in VR the menu is inverted and very far away, i tried to reset my default seating position using steam vr however that doesnt do anything. is there a button to reset seating position?
mrvile Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 There's a keybinding within the game that you can set for "Reset HMD position." I have mine set to F12.

You are looking in the wrong direction. Its not a bug. You must reset your default seating position and the front of your VR headset must look the other way while you do it! mrvile Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 The reason it's doing this is that upon starting the game, it will assume you are wearing your HMD and it will center itself based on where it is. So if you have your HMD sitting on the desk next to you, it will center the menu based on your HMD on your desk. Open the BoX client, put your HMD on, then click "play." Make sure you keep looking forward while it starts up, and it will automatically center itself around your actual head. If you screw it up, you can use the "Re-center HMD position" keybinding.
peregrine7 Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 By the way, set the keybind to something on your joystick. Otherwise you'll lean in to press the button, and when you lean back out after recentering your view will be in the wrong spot.
