how to DISABLE vr? (vive)

i have a vive and the game launched in vr automatically, causing me to have to bind keys while wearing my headset or hold the headset where i could see options on my monotor.

 

the VR Works fine and all, so far, but considering my logitech extreme 3d pro only has so many buttons and i need at least a few keyboard binds...i dont want vr all the time.

 

yet i cant find a way to disable it, steamVR launches automatically and it boots in vr mode.

 

 

any help on this one?

(1) There is a settings box that you have to check to enable VR; presumably unchecking it will result in 2D the next time you launch?

(2) Alternatively, maybe just unplugging your headset/base station will result in non-VR mode even if the box is checked?

ill check again for some sort of setting in options.

 

in most cases, unplugging the headset doesnt work, it just makes steamVR upset cuz the headset isnt detected

if i unplug the hdmi AND usb, it launches in normal mode, but steamvr still launches, and iget no sound cuz my headphones are plugged into the headset, AND the controlls for the flightstick are messed up, like my eject button now just looks at the chair, for instance...ill just play it in VR....figure out how to map stuff to the keyboard as i go

It's definitely there.

 

I know, because I actually had to explicitly check the box to get VR in the first place --- before that, I would keep launching into 2D even though everything was plugged in.

 

Not at my flight machine now, though, so I cannot tell you where exactly that option is ... but it is definitely there. Did you go through every page and subpage under the "settings"?

Its in the graphics settings on the right side above the dynamic slider. *disable VR

thank you guys, ive been trying to take off the Yak-1 and kept doing donuts on the runway, its helpful if i dont need to rip off my headset every time i want to look at instructions...though it seems theres already binds on my flightstick when im in 2d, for view controls...ill have to mess around with it...

I have a shortcut to the file on my desktop. Hopefully there will be an option on the launcher in the future.
