Once too often, It´s a bridge thing!

Still, that is some impressive flying.

Comrade, this is a most dishonourable presentation of bad flying habits. Maybe some bourgeois scrubber will answer to that pubescent showcase, any Komsomol will call your politruk at once.

Yea, but wasn't he doing it inverted?!

well, yeah - from that point of view, one might even say he was flying "over" the bridge....  isn't it all relative?

Sadly, my attempt to replicate in a Ju-88 it had unfortunate results. The engines cut out after a few seconds inverted.  :(

Atleast its a good video to show broken flight model..(maybe across all planes as IRL dats not possible.. even red bull plane would struggle in such an inverted dive)

Lets pull -2/3G inverted pull out in a twin engine medium bomber ( a move most fighters Cannot even do)

Hm, at least the Ju-88 as the Pe-2 were dive bombers with a strong structure, they might have been able to stand such manoeuvres.

That move has nothing to do with that structural design (not even an F16 can pull High G Negative pull outs.)
So i don't get your point!

Nevermind i Realized now the video is made with full arcade settings on (realism Off)
So flight/damage models dont matter as they not properly used in Arcade

Ever seen Bob Hoover fly an Aero Commander?

It is still widely stated that no one other than Bob could make that old tub do the things he did.......much less with both engines out.

Brilliant video, HerrMurf. And all done wearing business suit and tie. :)

I agree that people need to be careful about extrapolating about what is possible from what is normal practice.  Not many people ever barrel rolled Lancaster bombers, for instance: why would you?  But it could be and was done.

No, they are not.. where would be the fun in that?

Young man, it´s sad that you sound allready sour grapes as the old forum farts.. go out to your local flying club and let them take you for a ride in a Aerobat or Decathlon, come back with a smile on your face. Don´t be so "plane don´t this, plane don´t that" from weird flightsim forum debates far from real joy of flying. Then with that smile it makes a lot more sense to engage in the banter of the forums and decades old anectdotes of Junkersplanes getting sucked into tropical Thunderstorms and spitten out inverted..

Pushing up into an inverted climb is a fairly standard maneuver nowadays. If you want an interesting story of flying, look at the history of the outside loop and Gerhardt Fieslers story, or Doolittles...
