taffy2jeffmorgan Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Hi All, Seeing that the new upgrade has offered improved graphics, is it now possible to reconfigure the games graphic options. At the moment i have my graphics set at Ultra with Full Screen and Vsync ticked and Antialiasing set at 4 which now leaves- SSAO,HDR,and Sharpen all blank. I suppose its a matter of tick/untick and test ! I have taken a quick flight test before altering any settings and have noticed a marked improvement, everything seems very smooth. Cheers GTX 980 8 gig memory
BOO Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Hello Taffy I recently started playing about with the setting (before the patch when i could 3rd party sofware to monitor my gpu without the game crashing!) I play with an I5 6600K and at EVGA 1060 SC through a 2010 samsung mid range TV. Never bothered with HDR as i understood it was a specific technology but for the hell of it it turned it on. For me the difference is remarkable. ~ Nice lighting effect (although there is an odd dark band that follows me about if i really look) but the biggest difference i see is in the cockpit where i can now see the dials even with a lower gamma. Spotting seems better especially against dark ground and the white fuzz i used to see around planes solouetted against clouds is gone. As i say this was pre patch 2.009 and now with it even the most demanding graphics (fot instance sat on the runway, overcast and zooming in on the dust behind the aircraft parked next me) fail to reduce my fps below 55 fps (previously it was 42 lowest) So....play away I say!! Regards BOO 1
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted April 12, 2017 Author Posted April 12, 2017 Thanks Boo, I shall experiment !!
Hints Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Please somebody suggest graphic settings for VR play(Oculus CV1) Comp is: I5 4670, 16Gb ram, GTX1060 6Gb.
dburne Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 (edited) Please somebody suggest graphic settings for VR play(Oculus CV1) Comp is: I5 4670, 16Gb ram, GTX1060 6Gb. I would think you should be able to play on High setting without too much trouble, might want to disable HDR and SSAO to give you a little extra. I am running Ultra on my rig with very good performance, however I have a 1080 card. Disabling the HUD really helps as well. Edited April 12, 2017 by dburne
