Hartigan Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Hi! Im little bit confused about FW190 trim setting for take off and land. Manual says this: It should be set to +1.5° before takeoff and landing. However , if i understand right +1.5 means about 70-80 % nose down. If you look at stabilizer section and those markings in it ,it says + means nose down?! What i´ve found most comfortable to land is 100% nose up before final approach.
Belphe Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 (edited) I'm confused too. With the text aids enabled the "neutral 0%" position seems to be at a "-0,5 degrees" on the gauge... :/ Edited April 13, 2017 by Belphe
Hartigan Posted April 13, 2017 Author Posted April 13, 2017 Agreed, now if i try to land with recommented trim settings 70% nose down i have to pull stick all way back and still its might stall just before touch down. So i use trim by feeling whats suite best for a stable approach
Maple_X Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 In the real world, Fw190 stabilizer angle is +4~-1 degree. In the external view of this game, the stabilizer moves between +4~-1 degree ("0" mark should be 0 degree). But stab angle indicator in the cockpit indicates between +2~-3. I supposed that the indicator is not right. Angle +1.5 is 0% (indicator is -0.5).
Hartigan Posted April 14, 2017 Author Posted April 14, 2017 Thank you Maple_X , that make sense. But should devs check this and make necessary corrections?!
