Panning in exterior view

Should the POV hat not pan the view whilst in exterior mode?

I see the mouse does, but not the hat? I am sure I am missing something here?

My hat pans the camera outside the plane, I guess you need to change some settings

Yes I think I may now know my problem, it appears in controller assignments it is already assigned to the POV hat. However, I have programmed that hat in Target software, to work the trim functions for elevator and rudders, even though not working in the Lagg yet. I suspect if I delete those assignments it will work as it should. I will give that a try on my next access period ( am done for this weekend).

 

I also made a suggestion in the suggestions forum, to allow a Track IR to pan the view as well, in exterior view, in addition to the POV hat - this would totally free up that hat for me to use as I want. I have seen it work in other sims and for me I prefer that.
