I did read the forum rules before starting that. It was in free subject.

Just wanted to say "thank you" to all who participated. It was just great to have an in-depth, absolutely civil discussion about really controversial topics, among people with completely different opinions. 

 

I had been rereading everything the last days, and was just about to post again when I realized the lock.

 

Its a real shame to have to leave so many points and remarks without a contestation.

I get why the moderators would want to lock it. The thread was never more than one inflammatory remark away from blowing up, but it's still a shame.

 

Cudos to all participants for keeping it civil and to the point. Let's carry that spirit into our discussions about the sim as well.

I'm just pointing this out in as friendly a manner as possible:

Yup, was good while it lasted. Always always nice to bounce ideas in an open climate between reasonable people. Would as Finkeren said be nice if we could export that mode of discussion also to the FM section. Utopia maybe? Well, a man can dream can't he?

I guess we should all be glad, that it went so well, otherwise the moderators might have taken further action.

Oooops... Have to admit I interpreted that part of the rules not correctly, I only thought about political comments to other stuff. Wishful thinking, probably. Thx then for letting it run so long.
