TBD79_OD_ Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Hi all, So, EAF79_Topsy has been busy, beavering away in his workshop, to create a prototype of a replica Spitfire spade grip. He's developing a throttle quadrant and trim wheels to go with it. More information can be found here OD 1
Lusekofte Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 (edited) I was about to buy this Your suggestion seems a tad more within my budget Edited April 5, 2017 by 216th_LuseKofte
Feathered_IV Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Nice job on both counts. It looks like the only other thing you would need is a moustache!
TBD79_OD_ Posted April 5, 2017 Author Posted April 5, 2017 (edited) I was about to buy this Your suggestion seems a tad more within my budget Looks very impressive though! It could be the set that Topsy was referring to when he said about others being out there for 2,000 Euros. I've seen them before at a show and they are very good...but out of reach price wise Edited April 5, 2017 by EAF79_OD_ 1
ITAF_Rani Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 (edited) Exist the same cockpit for the Me 109 ? Edited April 9, 2017 by ITAF_Rani
Lusekofte Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 (edited) .but out of reach price wise I WAS about to buy it, the reason I did not was the fact that it locked me to fly Spitfire, Hurricanes , Typhoons and Tempest. With doubt A Mossie fighter version. That is what I am struggling with, I simply have a problem BTW The picture is a link to the site Edited April 9, 2017 by 216th_LuseKofte
TBD79_OD_ Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 Topsy has written an update on the project https://79vraf.wordpress.com/2017/04/28/update-on-replica-spitfire-controls-for-sims/
-TBC-AeroAce Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Brilliant peace of kit/engineering/art for sure but I dont see the appeal of a one or limited type cockpit. This even more so now as VR is around the corner. But keep up the epic work well done!!
TBD79_OD_ Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 I get your point, but if you look at the appeal of the Warthog...technically a single aircraft stick. I think this appeals more to the WW2 enthusiast, I can happily see myself with something like this, especially with trim wheels.
