MrNoice Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Hello Folks, Even If I turn down the "gamma" the game is far to bright on the horizion and has like a extrem bright haze. Is it possible to fix that issue ? thx and greetings
=ARTOA=Bombenleger Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Before the dx11 update, I had good results with lowering gamma in the game files to 0.6 and using sweetfx. But since the update sweetfx doesnt work for me as it used to, because it got a new version which I dont like and that doesnt have the same effect on visbility anymore.
216th_Jordan Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 (edited) Most monitors are way too brightm try calibrating you screen with testcards to find the perfect balance. I needed to put my brightness to around 50% to have the monitor properly calibrated for my room setup. If you got it all set up its definitely better. The haze tends to be some kind of technology limitation and I hope there are ways to improve the effect. In most case the haze itself is quite natural though. Look at this picture I made 2 days ago: Edited April 2, 2017 by 216th_Jordan 1

=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 RESHADE or SweetFX or any post shader. They all workJust install for DX10/11Many guides on this forum to turn the washed out game into something playable
JG4_Sputnik Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 I^ve also noticed the very bright horizon lately. Calibrating helps, though if you climb to 6k it looks like you fly in a cotton bubble.
ShamrockOneFive Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 any help ? Folks seem to be helping. The bottom line though is that the haze isn't going away. Its there to help with performance. Rendering out for a hundred kilometers or more is going to cause a performance hit and its also not entirely realistic... its rare to find days where its truly clear enough to see for a good long way. The haze is overdone but not entirely. Just pretend its a hot humid late summer day on the summer maps and that its just the dull grey of fall and winter on the other maps. You can try to turn down your gamma and see if it helps though.
