Where to Start in Multiplayer?

Hi All,

 

Just after a bit of advice on which servers to start out on?

 

Had a spin out last night but spent more time on fire   than flying around !!!

 

Had a quick double check that I wasn't playing a - Spit Roast BBQ Sim - then considered joining another server.

The thing with MP servers is that it definitely takes time to get used to flying against other players at that level. I would say that it is definitely worth learning on the servers that force you to rely on your own navigation skills as it will pay in the longer term. In fact when playing on servers like the Random Expert you can often fly whole missions without seeing the enemy depending on which airfield you choose and which target you choose. You will need to get familiar with CEM and basic navigation first though.

 

In the meanwhile have fun on any MP server and don't get disheartened if and when you're shot down. Remember, there are a lot of folks out there that have invested a considerable amount of time getting as good as they have.

Really your best bet is to hook up with a squad. Even the best get roasted by themselves lol.

Try the Finish Pilots server, it is often empty, and then you can do ground attacks and stuff without worry of interference. Just don't expect to change the course of the campaign.
