JG27*AD Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Nice, peaceful taxi back to the bomber parking area when my He111 left tire failed. Who supplies this junk? I would post a screenshot, but the file that is in the game screenshot folder is just a little too big. I could use some instruction on posting them.... Thanks, AD
Rjel Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 I always post them to Photobucket and then link from there. It's a free service.
Finkeren Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Or just open them in Photoshop or similar program and save them as a lower-quality jpg.

=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 (edited) For a normal pic to show things Jpeg @ 100% Quality is more than fine.PNG is too big (still 4.5MB's for a 1080P pic where jpeg is about 500kb)best free img hosting for RU regulated forums is IMGUR as its a russian site and never blocked.http://Imgur.com(yes its a dot com address so american hosted by russian run apparently) Edited March 26, 2017 by =R4T=Sshadow14
JG27*AD Posted March 26, 2017 Author Posted March 26, 2017 Looks like I need to call for taxiway side assistance for a failed tire.... 1
Guest deleted@30725 Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 I think your plane is missing more than just a tire....
busdriver Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 That's not a blown tire...your whole wheel came off. 1
Blitzen Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Better have long talk with your ground crew & remind them the infantry currently needs all the replacements if can get.....I'm just sayin'....
JG27*AD Posted March 26, 2017 Author Posted March 26, 2017 I was quite surprised when it happened. LOL I had landed without bouncing and it was a long taxi to the end of the runway, along the parking for the Stuka's and fighters. Then just as I began to turn to the "hardstand" the plane lurched and dipped down. I first thought I had accidentally hit the "G" key and raised the landing gear. Darndest thing I've seen on the sim. LOL Agree, my statement of a blown tire is not quite correct. The whole darn wheel failed. AD
=CFC=Conky Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 (edited) Tires/wheels supplied by the lowest bidder eh? Edited March 27, 2017 by =CFC=Conky
216th_Jordan Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 (edited) Maybe it took battle damage before in the flight? Edited March 27, 2017 by 216th_Jordan
BlitzPig_EL Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 That's my guess, it lost the entire wheel/tire assembly. Were you hit by flak, or attacked by a fighter?
Feathered_IV Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Maybe a few spirited ground loops before or after takeoff?
ShamrockOneFive Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 One of the things I love about the damage model in IL-2: BoS/BoM is there is sometimes a delayed action. I'm guessing it was light battle damage but I've done it just by landing a little too hard (and bouncing too much) and everything seems fine until I roll out at the end and start to make a turn. And then it collapses. I have to laugh and then marvel a little bit about what kind of modeling went into making those small moments happen.
JG27*AD Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 I'm going to go with the lowest bidder like Conky suggested... This was just a single mission without enemy so I could practice high altitude bombing. The taxi-takeoff-landing were not violent. I just think it may be a "Easter Egg". Anyhow, it was a facepalm moment. AD
