I-16 Type 24 White 270 .

An oblique colored band is visible on the tail; probably the band denotes the regiment, possibly 307 IAP, and its color the squadron. The image gives the idea of a yellow or light blue band. The spinner seems white, as the tactical number.

Probably the red star was present both on the fuselage and on the fin, that were stripped by German souvenir hunters.   (Massimo Tessitori )

      ?

The I-16 Type 12  No. 12215 was transferred to TSAGI to perform research to determine the impact of the rigidity of the wing structure on the accuracy of firing.

The livery is very characteristic, comprising three lines (blue-red-blue?) on the fuselage, black-contoured red stars in six positions plus small red starlets on the rudder.

The overall color was probably light grey, with a dark cowling, perhaps red or blue (the comparison to the wheel disks suggests that it wasn't black). (Massimo Tessitori )

External firewall, in your router?

For years i have used privatefirewall, you can edit almost everything about permissions for programs about internet acces, and -i disabled windows firewall ... Quarantaine is usually a Virus Killer program related thing, which you can edit and set to ignore.

Tiger is looking good :good:

So to your questions...

It's P-39D-2 so it's certainly WW2, mid war 1943 at earlilest. Bort No. White 04 on rear fuselage and US Serial No. 41-38547 , so the tail would show 38547

His name was Aleksei Zakaluk of 104 GvIAP He was also an artist and also flew a later mark of P-39 with an eagle instead of the tiger, presumably his own creations.

The name you had spelled wrong, but even then in english it gives little in an internet search. However when converted to Cyrillic it's a different story.

Try a search for this Алексей Закалук 104 ГвИАП and you should have better results. Here a few links that came up that might be of help.

what's the story on this paint?

?  Stolen from internet:

'1945,the Japanese military had a chance to become much more familiar with the Mustang. On that day, 1.Lt. Oliver E. Strawbridge 26thFS, 51stFG, was hit by enemy fire and landed at the Japanese-held airfield in China P-51C-11-NT nicknamed "Evalina", was seized by Japanese troops.damage 2 the aircraft was repaired. Hinomarus were painted over the American stars & flown back to the Japanese Army Air Inspection Center in Fussa (now Yokota Air Base) by Yasuhiko Kuroe, a 30-victory ace.'

'In January 1945, a P-51 Mustang was captured mostly intact by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force. This plane was named "Evalina", after the girlfriend of one of the pilots. This plane was then flown to Japan where it was tested by Japanese ace Yasuhiko Kuroe, who loved the plane. It was then used in mock dogfights with other captured planes to teach new pilots how to defeat them. Kuroe would claim “I had such confidence with this P-51 that I feared no Japanese fighters.”
