edtracker il-2 1946 restricted viewing angles help

I can confirm i have edtracker working in elite

 

But I want to fly il2 1946 (with the sas and extras)

 

using mouse I can view left & right to back of cockpit.

with edtracker as a joystick I can only view slightly left right up down of front view

 

I have got it working using the edtracker as a mouse but not smooth or responsive as per a normal mouse (with no restictive view)

 

is there a setting that resticts the view?

 

would like any help befor I give up in frustration

 

anyone using edtracker or edtracker pro?

It work nice for me, i don't have this problem.  Edtracker pro.

I'm not familiar with edtracker but there should be a way to adjust the mappings to get the movement you are looking for.

Used it in former times and with other games.
But I think you'll have to use a tool like opentrack or freetrack

and choose 'joystick' as input (ed tracker is nothing but a joystick, that's what windows thinks).

 

With these tools you can set the view curves and IL2 takes the output (freetrack protocol)
