Cockpit view Vs External view

Hi, fidding to have a good compromise between the two in-game view in order to have a good spotting enemy planes in cockpit, I'm realizing that game engine render is really challenging because (for me at least) if I set a good visibility in-cockpit: realistic colours sky and terrain plus good contrast to see far enemy planes from above on forest/terrain, then if you set this and with same setting you go on external view, your game is really very dark and with overall unrealistic bluish tendency .. at contrary if I set good contrast/brightness/terrain and sky colours in external view and jump into cockpit then I have a really washed-out and too bright/white image.

I tried to install and  set RESHADE program injector but I've find it quite complicate to use and moreover all different setting I've tried didn't solve the great difference between the two in-cockpit / external view differences.

I know the problem primary come from the aircraft canopy rendering that simulate you have the external view filtered from the "plexiglas" but I'm wonder if may be any solution as to have a good compromise between those two views and your suggestions or settings about this. cheers.

I would focus on the in-cockpit view if I were you. Once you reach the multiplayer servers you will find that external views are disabled anyway.

Yes, I obviously play with in-cockpit view, but this don't exclude we all look with external view sometimes and/or like to see this game replays or whatever with cameras'

I know what you mean. All I was suggesting is that you optimise for that and not for the externals as you won't use them as much.

yes m8, I obviously play with in-cockpit view on multiplayer and or Sp like you (I imagine), but this isn't a good option to find a good compromise because of this great difference between the two game views.

may be a chance to remove the frontal canopy more than the eject solution?.

Sometimes I wish my car had a 3rd person and action camera view.

Hmm. Maybe I should hire two people on motorcycles to constantly film me and have it live stream to the dash sat nav or VR headset.

I guess for now I'm stuck in the car view.

In replays you can turn the icons on. It's always interesting to watch a flight again, from online where there are no icons. Switch them on in replay and see how many other aircraft you didn't notice ;-)

This is why 3rd person views are bad in my view, we carry it into reality (or at least want to).

I remember, when I didn`t have a pc and always played driving games with my controller-  Then I went for my real life driving lessons; the first thing I kept wanting to do was press my finger on the steering wheel to go `forward`. The instructer looked at me so funny and I was way too embarassed to say this was what I was used to when driving cars  in games!

Better to play games in a realistic manner whenever possible.

p.s. Also 1st person is great for that feeling of being `there`.

Well, solution for your problem is quite simple really.

Step 1)

Optimize game to look good for you in external view.

Step 2)

Use Reshade to optimize the look from cockpit view.

Step 3)

Make a macro that turns off Reshade when you hit any F key other then F1, and to turn it back on when you press F1 (or just use default Reshade on/off key manually as you swap views if macroing seem too complicated).

Step 4) Profit and enjoy your game the way you like it.

P.S. I have no need for this, to me, setting the game to look good in any view was just a matter of slight Reshade fiddle, but we all got own taste in what is beautiful so there you go. It's doable without any Dev's support right now if you have some basic, or just slightly above average PC knowledge.

That is a good compromise and idea :) may be to try it..  My guess was not an obsession situation, I can obviously life with good internal cockpit view most of time, but is annoying to have to change settings using slider of monitor every time, reshade + macro indeed can give good and quick results. thank for the suggestion.. and if didn't work..then I'll go to buy a drone, yea!;). :)
