[I./JG62]steppa Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Servus, I´m 21, from bavaria, speak German and a (tbh) bad English, i have no in depth knowledge of aviation, navigation, organisation of combat units, air combat tactics and engine management. All i all i´m at a low combat effectiveness. Inefficient and slow key mapping on my part often leads to slow and ineffective operation of the aircraft and subsequently to loss of situational awareness. Should anyone be able to teach the art of areal combat to a potato like me i´m in IL-2 1946; IL-2 CloD ATAG; und IL-2 sturmovik BoS. Have 27" full HD screen potent PC saitek cyborg v.1 stick mouse, keyboard don´t have headtracking devices VR Peace

[I./JG62]steppa Posted March 23, 2017 Author Posted March 23, 2017 Top. wie genau finde ich euch? Ist das eine Server Bezeichnung?
Marabekm Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Well if you are interested, there is a group of us that fly coops nightly, usually around 6 to 9 pm eastern us time. Wfly a lot of bombers so if you want to learn, could come in as a co-pilot. Look if interested, look for me, Dolphin, on hyperlobby.
JimTM Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Check out the IL-2 Sturmovik Wiki for some background information to prepare for your flight training.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I'd be happy to wing up with you. Generally on Mondays and Tuesdays noon til 1430 PST. We have a German speaker among us as well. Generally flying the Bf and Fw but some of my mates are branching out into the Allied crates as well.
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 considering this sims complex physics and weather...IMHO before even touching a joystick i would spend about 5-10 hours reading all about planes/ how they fly and the physics behind it and the weather and so on.Its like teaching someone to drive a car if they don't know the physics of it they still going to have accident soon or die.(you know how many people i see braking mid corners, but its a basic rule that should never be broken
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Except this is a game and there are no real world consequences for failure here. While I agree reading up a bit to understand some of the basics and what his ride is doing under him, there is no reason to not OJT the $#!7 out of it.
