How to show pictures in a post/Topic?

How can i show a picture in a post/topic without having to put in links or these "show" buttons?

I always just use links to my uploaded pictures on PhotoBucket, so I'm not really familiar with other options for posting pictures on the forums.  

 

If you use the full editor capabilities they do give you an option to attach files directly to your posts, but I'm not sure how those files appear if you attach an image file - I've tried it with this reply post, so we'll see what happens:

 

 

[EDIT] hmm - seems to work ok - not sure if you can do anything to control the size of the picture though - maybe people would just have to click on it to enlarge it?

There is another option.

Go to "more reply options" at the bottom right of your window, select a file of max 5MB and when uploaded click on "show in post".

You don't have to use third party software/websites this way.
