II./JG77_Manu* Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Just tried to start IL2 for the first time since a while, but it only got into the "Il2 Sturmovik" entry screen, and after 5 seconds i was on the desktop again. I have the non-steam version of the game, and don't wanna download the whole game again, is there some function to verify the gamefiles, comparable to the steam process?
Pail Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 A (possibly) similar thing happened to me for one update....if it is any consolation, the next update fixed it again. (I was getting a message about a .dll not found or something though). Good luck.
BlitzPig_Bill_Kelso Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 I had that issue as well and it would take 4-6 attempts before sticking and finally launched the game. Than Nvidia updated it's drivers and it went away. For me it was a graphic card driver issue and not a game issue.

SCG_Vonalba Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Myn also hangs on il2 screen, is there and issue a/ sweetfx? I'm still trying things.I updated nvidia drivers. Maybe it's that cfg file? Windows 7 ? Anyway hope someone figures it out.I guess if all else fail uninstall and reinstall. Uggg!!!
