II./JG77_Spaz Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Okay before I begin here are my PC specs. Intel Xeon 3.0ghz Quadcore. 8Gig Ram Nvidia GTX 760 4gig. Vsync is enabled in game and set to 3d application setting in Nvidia control panel. AA is set to 2x In game and set to "enhance application setting"/ 2x in Nvidia. These were the best settings I could get until a few days ago. I was getting about 40 fps with the usual stutters that make the game frustrating as all hell and cause serious rage quitting. So a few days ago I finally had enough, I decided that I was going to find a better way to play this game graphically/fps-wise or I was going to toss it. After scouring the internet for hours I came upon a post saying that someone got a solid 10-20 fps gain by simply changed the ingame graphic setting preset from High (or Ultra) to Low or Balanced. Initially when I read this I figured I would give this a try as I had nothing to loose and expected the game to look like utter crap. To my surprise NOT ONLY did I experience that same 10-20 fps gain (that solid and stays might I add) but the quality of the ingame textures hadn't changed a bit (at least not that I could notice). So in closing thoughts, SOMETHING happens when you enable high or ultra thats EATING YOUR FPS like crazy. And I have no idea what because visually I wasn't able to see any differences. Now that these settings have been implemented it has given a new drive for me to want to play this game. Not only have the stutters COMPLETELY stopped, but I can no keep track of contacts, I'm actually usually the first to spot them now. One last thing, it should be noted that I am using Reshade/Sweetfx 2.0 with only LumaSharpen and Vibrance enabled. I hope this helps some others. I will also post a picture of my Nvidia Control Panel settings.. A couple things to note that I learned the hard way that should help you. Maximum Pre-rendered Frames : Use 3d Application Setting Virtual Reality Pre-Rendered Frames: Use 3d Application Setting (these two helped smooth out the stutters as well) Anyway, S! All. Hope this helps. I'll answer any questions that any has. I may be late to the party on this, but on the off chance I'm not. I know this sure as hell could help a lot of people.
II./JG77_Spaz Posted March 16, 2017 Author Posted March 16, 2017 Thx for sharing c4nucK ! Yes sir! My pleasure! I really hope this helps some others. I wasn't playing man, I was really ready to toss this game out. I wanted to play it so bad, loved the flight dynamics, damage modeling could improve but still. I wanted to play, but between the stutters and lack of stable FPS and shimmering trees I couldn't keep track of my own shadow. Now its the complete opposite.

Yes I have the 760 as well and found little difference in visuals from balanced to low but steady frames on low, Also "I couldn't keep track of my own shadow" Is not your fault, there is no own player shadow displayed when viewing from cockpit 1
