ICDP Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) This template is no longer required and should be downloaded from the official template links page. Default skins in sim are now 4K as standard. Edited October 15, 2019 by ICDP 2 1 27

Black-Witch Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 (edited) Thanks for the excellent 4K templates ICDP, I can't imagine how many hours you've spent perfecting every pixel. Quality. I had a play around with the template in Gimp and ended up with something I'm happy with, I make 2 of everything, one for me and one for my Rottenflieger. Witch Edited January 19, 2018 by Black-Witch

Yankee_One Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Hi Martin, first of all thank you for the new skinpacks. Great looking skins If you dont mind i think i have found some minor flaws. 1, One of the aileron "bumps" on Nowotny´s skin should have another color. Cant remember if left or right. 2, On the left wing (middle section) of the ac there is a "cut". Cheers
ICDP Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 (edited) Hi Yankee one, thank you for the feedback. I assume the aileron bump is referring to the yellow part. I will look at this and fix it but the 3D model has only one texture spot for these, so it's always one colour for both. The cut on the left wing is an error in the 3D model rather than the texture. E69_julian57 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 (edited) Hello ICDP, I do not know how to handle the alpha layer that you provide us. If I want it to be more matte it will lower the brightness. The alpha PSD file must be saved as ...? When you say copy and paste in the main template, is it in the channels tab ....? I would appreciate an explanation for clumsys. Thank you for your great work Edited January 28, 2018 by E69_julian57

Download the template and the skinpack again as this affected 4x skins.

Though if you go too dark the skin disappears and all you see are the 3D models. I prefer to work with BMPs during this process as there is no loss of quality between saves as you would get working direct with DDS files. Create the main texture and save as a 32 bit BMP file. Use the alpha template to create your desired alpha channel, save it as a BMP file. Open the saved alpha BMP file, select all and copy. Open main texture bmp Go to the channels tab and paste your copied alpha BMP to channel1 Save the file again. Now open the file in photshop (or Gimp) and save as a DDS file. You will need to get the Nvidia dds photoshop pluggins (do a google search). Settings are as below, though you can disable the generate mipmaps option if you prefer. You can paste a generic alpha layer into the PSD file alpha channel directly. This way all textures created in the template will have a working alpha as per your preferences. My template already includes a mostly matte with some refelction at extremely shallow angles. Edited January 29, 2018 by ICDP

Uhhh ICDP this is in Chinese for me.I use this simple way.(pictures) Here i wanted shine stars.I made in stars layer.

E69_julian57 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Thanks ICDP for the answer, I am new with Photosop, I will try what you say.
ICDP Posted January 30, 2018 Author Posted January 30, 2018 (edited) Uhhh ICDP this is in Chinese for me.I use this simple way.(pictures) Here i wanted shine stars.I made in stars layer. H szelljr. That method works for some small areas but when working on making the entire skin more matte it would be quite cumbersome trying to avoid some parts becoming transparent. Hence why I included the alpha PSD, so only the base layer needs to be adjusted. Edited January 30, 2018 by ICDP 1
SR603-Flowbee Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 Thank you for releasing your invaluable template.
OnTheHouse Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 On 3/11/2017 at 2:23 PM, ICDP said: I'm very proud to present my latest template pack. Fw190-a5 template, skinpack and 4k bumpmap are ready for download. This template is a conversion from my a3 template with appropriate details changes to match the new 190-a5 layout. As there is no existing 2k 190-a5 template available I used the 190-a5 bumpaps to ensure lines and rivets lined up to the default a5. Main template file Alpha PSD template is also included in the download. 4k bumpmap also included. Skinpack Skin-pack contains. 6x generic skins 2x historic skins (Horst Hannig, Fw190-a4 and Walter Nowotny Fw190-a5). Edit: template updated to v3 on 27 Jan 2018, please download again. Fixes include: Fixed missing exhaust stack texture New improved Weathering layers added More accurate base camo colours New alpha PSD file included New skinpack New metal chiping layers Template link http://www.mediafire.com/file/isk29ml39zxkl94/Fw190A-5_4K_Template_v3.zip 4k Bumpmap link (instructions in .zip file) http://www.mediafire.com/file/6bb5chtfo9jhk9a/Fw190-a5_4k_Normalmap.zip Skinpack link http://www.mediafire.com/file/su5hb1j45v4urae/Fw190A-5_4K_Skinpack.zip Years back I had the layered template for several BF-109s..E3,E4 & F4 as memory serves. but alas, those templates have been lost I find skins everywhere, but I'm trying to find 'Templates' that offer the various layers such as those found by your works and labor. Would you mind pointing me to where I can retreive those templates again. Thank you most kindly for you paramount efforts and releases. Respectfully- House
