Location of IL-2 Error Logs

IL-2 has been running smoothly on my Windows 10 machine since purchase. Suddenly the game started crashing to desktop immediately after launch. Is there an error log to view which might have the cause for the crash?

I think you might find any crash dumps here: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\CrashDumps.

 

And consequently, I think I read somewhere that the game folder needs to be changed from Read Only (right click folder, Uncheck Read Only), but I've just spent the last hour attempting this with no success.
