Purchasing Expansions via Steam

Hello everyone,

 

I purchased BoS through the 1C / 777 website (not via steam). If for example BoM or BoK comes up for sale on Steam, am I able to buy it from Steam and apply the keys to use with the copy of BoS I currently have? It seemed like that is possible based on what I saw on the website but wanted to confirm.

 

Also, can it work the other way around (play my copy of BoS via Steam)?

Hello, BoM and BoK (in the future) are DLC for BoS on Steam. If you haven't BoS on Steam you can't buy DLC for this game according to Steam rules.

Also, you can't play your copy of BoS via Steam, sorry. This opportunity only applies to IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad keys purchased during the Early Access and Pre-Order periods prior to October 22, 2014.

 

Sales on Steam always coincide with sales on our website, you shouldn't worry about it.

My friend just asked me about this other day.
an i also said sales should be at the same time (even then i would NOT support steam, they are keeping profits from these great DEVS)

Thanks for your response! I agree with Sshadow14 - I'd much rather let the developers keep the profit rather than a distributor. Since you mention that Steam sales generally coincide with sales on your website, I take it that the BoK sale that was going on on your website was a special treat (since there was no sale on Steam)! Thanks for that.
