WWGeezer Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Looks like Tuesday nights 6:30 Pacific has become our regular gig. We typically run what I call an "Open COOP", no passwords, server open, but we fly all on one side. All are welcome to fly with us or against us. Even better, join us on comms. We try to either build or modify missions that already exist and add enough AI that it is flyable from either side. We are going to re-run Coconuts "Stukas over Stalingrad" with a number of changes to make it more COOP friendly this Tuesday March 7th ( and special thanks to Coconut, it is a pretty wonderful mission). Change Log 1. No plane limits at all airfields 2. Added a second bomber base on each side, pulled heavy bombers to those locations, both ground and air start 3. Reduced Friendly AI by about half ( they kept poaching our kills last time!) 4. Got Train and Armored Convoy to work. If train makes it to Aleska, convoy full strength, if destroyed, convoy weakened just like Coconut designed it. 5. Added Server Commands and sound files so we can launch train and convoy at any time with server command (s1=Train, s2=Convoy) 6. Discovered Russians have a train too that reinforces enemy. Added sound files and subtitles so you will know when it takes off. 7. Removed mission logic that ended game if convoy destroyed or reaches destination 7. Added second wave of Enemy AI Aircraft to be launched at tale end of mission to extend mission (s3= launch more AI) here is what the map looks like and the paths of the train and convoy. For those that are interested, the reason none of this worked last week was the train was placed on a "dead" side spur, was not a real train track so it never launched. An easy fix, just slide it over onto the live track. Edited March 4, 2017 by WWGeezer 2
WWGeezer Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 This Tuesday March 14th will run another Coconut Mission. I want to rerun the Stuka's over Stalingrad mission with us flying Russian, but will take a little time to put the AI back I removed and some other tweeks. So figured we would go cold turkey on another Coconut Mission. Rear Base has all plane types Advance Base has bombers only Airstart bases are for fighters This looks like it is set up for a big cluster foof in the center over Cherny, but there are some factory targets a bit further back that look interesting. Only change I made was to place unlimited planes at the forward base so no one runs out. All are welcome to fly with us or against us..... Thanks as always to Coconut for his fine missions.
WWGeezer Posted April 30, 2017 Author Posted April 30, 2017 WWCOOP this Tuesday May 2nd at 6:30 Pacific More Coconut Goodness, be sure to read the brief so you understand objectives. First 60 minutes is crucial to gaining advantage by destroying assets. This is the "Battle of Moscow" Map 1
SCU_Server Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Hi WWGeezer I run a closed COOP server for my mates here in AU your server is going when we are all at work , any chance you would share any Stalingrad COOP missions you have so we could run them on our server. Cheers Stephen
WWGeezer Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 Sure Stephan....I have several that are Coconut missions and several of his I modified. When you host do you ever use server commands? Those missions might not run so well for you because you enter a server command to launch another wave of enemies. Just wanted to check before I post them. (We fly with the Old Fokkers in ROF and they have a few Australian collaborators by the way, always happy to help out our brothers down under!)
SCU_Server Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Hi Geezer I havent set up server command yet but will sort it out today, any you can send through would be great, you can email me them at kiwibirkin@gmail.com and if you have additional information regarding the server command I need to use that would be appreciated also. Cheers Stephen
WWGeezer Posted June 29, 2017 Author Posted June 29, 2017 Had 25 people flying this Tuesday with a juiced up Coconut mission. Great fun, thanks for all who participated.
