BeastyBaiter Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Alternatively, roll in with a full 16+ plane squadron armed with rockets and the 37mm cannon and raid the German airfield. It'll be vulchtastic. Plane performance can't really compensate for good teamwork.
SYN_Ricky Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 People who don't like "vulching" would have hated Pitomnik airfield in real life
II./JG27_Rich Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) You need to get a buddy or two if the 109 pilot is a good one. If he's very good that may not even work Wait for the La-5s Edited December 8, 2013 by II./JG27_Rich
71st_AH_Vertigo Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 "How to fly the LAGG against the 109?" Eastwards, full-throttled and on the deck. LOL!! True that,YO..!!
Finkeren Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Yeah teamwork is definately what will win the day. This is sort of speculative, but it is my hunch, that numbers will work more to the advantage of the LaGG, simply because the LaGG is more durable and has superior firepower. A well coordinated attack by LaGGs could easily reduce the fighting force of a squad of Bf 109s significantly in a single pass.
BigC208 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Only way I've been able to nail a 109. Climb into the combat area and attain altitude advantage. Boom and Zoom, rinse and repeat. As soon as you're equal E, good luck and hope help is on the way. I've not been able to outfly the AI when equal E in the LaGG.
