Bilbosmeggins Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I ordered mine on June 23 and I should be able to pay on 17th. But one of interesting notes in the email I received on the 13th is what Crosswinds is now offering "New soft centering spring addon is available for purchase" You might want to check it out. I add the new "springs" to my order. 75 year old legs get tired really fast. I was sent an email too, saying I'd be invoiced on the 17th (today). Never received the invoice. Did you hear anything?
Hoss Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Yep, got the email from Milan today and the invoice too, paypal sent on it way.............. so as soon as the payment clears, they will ship my pedals........... I ordered the new spring too......... you have 15 years on me Bolbosmeggins................. Cheers Hoss
Bilbosmeggins Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 (edited) Still nothing for me. Since notification that I'd receive the invoice yesterday, I haven't had a peep. Sent him an email this morning, but no reply to that, so getting a trifle despondent. Edit: Received the Invoice, and have paid. Just play the waiting game now Edited July 18, 2017 by Bilbosmeggins

Waiting as my old peddles continue their downward spiral to unusable, may need to go back to using the key board Z & X during the wait time .
dburne Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 You guys are so in for a treat, you have no idea. They are going to be very much well worth the wait!
Bilbosmeggins Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Received a tracking number tonight, so it's looking good. Maybe early next week?
Taxman Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 (edited) Mine arrived the 28th. Waiting at the door when we arrived home after leading a 6 mile hike along a river and forested area, which was beautiful. Set it up last night and all I can say is WOW . Yep, got mine the 26th............. got em assembled and hooked up, working great........... totally different feel to my CH pro pedals............ need to adjust curves in different games to get them fine tuned.. so far so good. The wide stance is great, like that much better than CH. Cheers Hoss
Bilbosmeggins Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 I think mine arrived about a week ago. Very nicely made, and a doddle to get set up and calibrated. Really pleased with them. I also purchased the 7.5cm extension for the Warthog Joystick, which works like a charm too. It's a world apart from the cheap HOTAS joystick I was using, with it's twist-stick rudder. Take-offs and landings are a joy now
von_Tom Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 I've succumbed. I'll post my thoughts once I get them whenever that is. von Tom
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 I think you will be happy with your purchase. They definitely feel like a product that will last 20+ years. Don't think there is a lot of additional functionality that you could add (other than force feedback) that would cause you to want to replace them.
von_Tom Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 (edited) Well mine have been sitting in their packing behind my work desk for around 3 weeks now. When we finally move into our new house I'll then have to somehow get them installed before my wife's "money spent on stuff that hasn't been approved" antennae get twitching. Does anyone have a plan for a base to sit the things on, or an alternative to creating a base? They'll be sitting on carpet and I may want them to be easily moveable to put them out of the way. von Tom Edited September 24, 2017 by von_Tom
BOO Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 The easiest solution I can think of for carpets (where the supplied wedges cant be used against a skirting (or baton placed in front of the skirting) is to use some anti-slip rug grippers on the underside of the base. I think they come with adhesive backing in some cases but you may have to cut and shape them a little. Even rug grippers that are normally used on wooden or tiled floors may provide enough friction.
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Mine sit on the forward part of a clear PVC chair mat. I use velcro to hold them in place.
curiousGamblerr Posted September 25, 2017 Author Posted September 25, 2017 I basically have my stick and MFG's built into a single unit. The front legs of my desk chair hook into it so it can't move in any direction. My stick has an extension, so it reaches about halfway to the floor, so this whole contraption ends up consisting of a platform on the ground with a box in the middle. Pedals in front of the box, stick on top, chair behind. Works pretty great (besides the fact that I've torn the stick off the box a few times in life-or-death dive recoveries, but that's because the box is a crappy wine box, ill replace it with something proper eventually). I throw this whole thing in the closet anytime a member of the fairer sex might be stopping by Anyway, without the stick, you could use something similar i.e. a platform for your pedals which hooks onto your chair legs somehow. Bulkier than the pedals alone, but it keeps them nice and secure. All you need is a saw, a bit of extra plywood and some screws to bolt the pedals down.

LLv24_SukkaVR Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 http://www.wheelstandpro.com/products/wheel-stand-pro-for-thrustmaster-hotas-warthog-saitek-x-55-x52pro-x65---deluxe-v2- I use this with Hotas Warthog and Crosswinds. Very handy as you can just fold it and throw it somewhere when you dont need it. Cheap too, at least for EU/UK customers. I use 10cm extension with this which is ok, but longer extensions would be too tall. I have also joystick adapter like this https://imgur.com/9ghhJ0v which cost around 50€ but i dont remember where i bought it and cant find any shop selling it. Nice to have that big metal plate removed and get your stick between your legs.
69th_Panp Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 One thing I can say about Milans pedals, mine are serial number 067 purchased on dec-19-2013 and have been in continuous use without a single issue. I calibrate them maybe 1 time a year, mostly for something to due that day Cant go wrong with the pedals or him
von_Tom Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Ok so mine are up and running. They feel lightweight but sit nicely on a carpet without shifting. As long as you put both feet on at the same time you don't need a stabilising plate underneath. But, when you twist in VR to look behind this can cause the pedals to tip. Overall I think a base plate is a good idea and I'll get Mrs von Tom to make one out of some spare wood (she likes doing that sort of thing...). Controls-wise they are very smooth. In some ways too smooth because there is none of the catch that you'd kinda expect with a mechanical linkage system. Plus, I expected a bit more resistance using CAM5 so I'll have to tighten the tension a fair bit more. I then tried my old Saitek Combat Pro Pedals (that had performed flawlessly) and by god they grated and were loud, and not smooth at all. Overall they are very good. Not earth shatteringly good but a very good upgrade and yes they're worth the cash. von Tom
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Easy solution: Get some real quality Panzerband. Here is a link to some from the German Bundeswehr (not my link!) https://www.ebay.de/i/381171439478?chn=ps&dispItem=1 It's cheap, and super effective.
von_Tom Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Can anyone recommend somewhere in the UK to get Fenris_Wolf's panzertape (or an alternative)? I don;t mind paying a small fortune on pedals but £13 delivery of a roll of tape sticks in the throat a bit. von Tom
