Dang, I wish I could find 109s that make the mistake of getting in a low alt turn fight with me

It is not for sure a mistake. It might be that he was up for the challenge and wanted a dogfight. It did happened in BOB , sometimes they just stick in the fight, and Spitfire pilots could fight in a more equal fight. But it was in many occasions reported that the 109 E4 could turn fight with the Spitfire. 

I believe this was due to exceptional talented pilots and maybe Spit pilots with lesser hours

The Yak was missing half of its elevator. Nevertheless a smoking 109 is doomed.

That was pretty exciting

Although there was a hope at the end that with the 109 pretty much done, they would have formed up, wing salute, and disengaged..

Or the followed the 109 till he ditched..

Thank you. I was extremely lucky. If 109 had an engine without damage probably would have lost fight.
