Binding Commands to the Shift and Ctrl Keys

Hello!

 

I'm new to BoS, so nice to meet all of you. I have played Cliffs of Dover so have a bit of flight sim experience (and habits). I usually like to bind my throttle to the Shift (throttle up) and Ctrl (throttle down) since I do not yet have a throttle quadrant.

 

Unfortunately, I am having a hard time figuring out how to bind just the Shift or Ctrl key to a command in the control settings. The game seems to want me to use another key along with Shift / Ctrl (e.g., Shift + Q). Does anyone know how I can just use the Shift / Ctrl keys for commands?

I don't think it's possible to use just the Shift and Ctrl keys like you want to.

Shift/ Ctrl keys are modifiers, that's why you use them in association with another primary key.

Maybe this MacroGamer did the trick - allow set one key to press another, or a sequence.

For example LCtrl to press Numpad+, then use set Numpad+ for decrease throttle.
