Hoss Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 (edited) Don't listen to Uwe, he hurt his knee and can't think straight.....................It's Wednesdays and SUNDAY's at 1900, some of us fly online during the week, so get on Discord or Groupme and see what we are doing. We do fly 109/190's but some of us like to fly the Ju-87/88 and 110 in Jabo to act as fighter bait for the rest of the squad..... Cheers Hoss Edited June 24, 2017 by Hoss

StickMan Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 (edited) I'm in the Chicago area but your flight times will really work out for me. 2100 local for me, would be after the kids are in bed. I also fly a lot whenever I get the chance. So tired of trying to make it alone in multiplayer and getting outnumbered. Always the one that I dont see that kills me. Guess it was true in real life as well. If you guys are still recruiting let me know. I also can fly VVS fighters. Edited August 5, 2017 by StickMan
Hoss Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Download Discord voice commas...... Uwe will send you an invite..... The organized nights are Wednesday & Sunday..... Some of us are around most other nights...... We can introduce you to some other fliers we fly with on other nights...... You' ll have someone to wing up with....... We also have Groupme on our smartphones, it's how we communicate everyday...... Look forward to meeting you cheers Hoss
Original_Uwe Posted August 5, 2017 Author Posted August 5, 2017 Thank you Hoss! Summer stuff has largely pulled me away from simming very much and even more so watching the forums. I'll shoot you a PM Stickman

Note unique camouflage pattern, consisn of large overspray of fuselage sides with RLM02 with chaotic striches of RLM71. All emblems of original I./JG 54. Stabstaffel, 1, 2 and 3 Staffeln. 707shap_Srbin Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 (edited) Now, Bf109F-2. There are 3 main phases: spring-summer-autumn 1941, when I./JG54 was not yet officially called "Green Heart". Also, it didnt adopted Nurnburg emblem untill december 1941. Bf109F-2's of Gruppe weared very unique camouflage, consisted of large squaggles/snakes of RLM02 and RLM71 over fuselage. Stab I./JG 54 1./JG 54 2./JG 54 3./JG 54 Then, soviet winter came down. Also, on 4th December 1941, JG 54 was officially declared as "Grren Heart Geschwader". Grunherz finally appeared on all aircrafts. Bf109F-2's got overall winter camouflage. Stab I./JG 54 1./JG 54 2./JG 54 3./JG 54 Then, during spring 1942, I./JG 54 Bf109F-2's got absolutely mad camouflage - "anti-wave" Winter white was dissolved with fabric piece, to make "old gray-green" visible under winter white. Stab I./JG 54 No photo yet 1./JG 54 No photo yet 2./JG 54 3./JG 54 In late spring 1942, I./JG54 start to recieve new Bf109F-4's and re-equip STaffel after Staffel. Seems, all aviable Bf109F-2 were transferred to 3./JG54, wich was the last to have Bf109F-4's. In this time, JG 54 finally got it's famous green camouflage for all Bf109F-2's and F-4's. 707shap_Srbin Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Bf109F-4 entered to I./JG54 in may 1942. In june, all 3 Staffeln were equipped mainly with F-4, but already in this month, Gruppe became first Luftwaffe unit to recieve Bf109G-2. But still, Bf109F-4 continued to serve in I./JG 54 in decreasing numbers untill autumn 1942. Stab I./JG 54 1./JG 54 2./JG 54 3./JG 54 no photo yet.
707shap_Srbin Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Now, Bf109G-2. I./JG 54 flew it from june to december 1942. During summer and autumn, aircrafts weared regular "greens". Stab I./JG 54 1./JG 54 2./JG 54 3./JG 54 In december 1942, just before Gruppe got Fw190's, aircrafts were overpainted with winter white: Stab I./JG 54 1./JG 54 2./JG 54 3./JG 54
707shap_Srbin Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 (edited) Finally, in december '42 - january '43 I./JG 54 got Fw190A-4's. A bit later, A-5 come also. Winter camouflage: Stab I./JG 54 1./JG 54 2./JG 54 3./JG 54 Edited August 20, 2017 by I./ZG1_Panzerbar

Original_Uwe Posted August 21, 2017 Author Posted August 21, 2017 Damn-that right there is a lot of info! Thanks a bunch! Apologies for the lack of response. I've been pretty much absent from the Internet because, well, it's summer lol. Again many, many thanks!
Original_Uwe Posted August 21, 2017 Author Posted August 21, 2017 Actually, a question: With the 109's and 190's splinter patterns were they primarily RLM 70/71/65? I know there was a lot of 'custom' color mixing, but it looks like 70/71 predominantly. As these planes came with 74/75/76 from the ts Tory was the 76 underside retained or repainted 65?
707shap_Srbin Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 (edited) As these planes came with 74/75/76 from the ts Tory was the 76 underside retained or repainted 65? Yes. 76 left on undersides. On upper sides, it was used 71/70. Also, for Bf109E and F-2 it was used RLM02 and RLM71. On Your webpage, You could make a photo gallery with I./JG 54 historical photos. P.S. 1./JG54 emblem, seen on Bf109F-2: Edited August 21, 2017 by I./ZG1_Panzerbar 1

Deicide Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Hello! I am an American, I live in Pennsylvania and am interested in joining a squadron. Zerstörergeschwader 1 "Wespe" suggested I contact you guys about flying/joining. I mostly fly SP/Campaign/Quick mission mode and generally fly Fighter/Bomber roles. I have BOS/BOM, Fw-190A3 and just recently picked up the P-40 as well. I am very intersted with joining some laid back people. I am usually around any time after 3pm EST and don't generally go to bed til 5 or 6am EST. I'm 34 with kids as well. I like mature/laided back and fun crowds.Sincerely Crazy

Also, curious how the markings were for other aircraft? Is there a 5+ or 10+? How many aircraft were in the unit? Edit just reread that and said "duh!" Lol So was it expanded to anything larger than a Schwarm? Edited August 26, 2017 by 1./JG54_Uwe
707shap_Srbin Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) So was it expanded to anything larger than a Schwarm? No. But as You may know, during Battle of Britain, each Gruppe of each Jagdgeschwader had to have one Staffel converted to JaBo Staffel. In I./JG54 it was 1st Staffel. 1./JG54 used Bf109E-4/B and later a Bf109F-2/B, and relinguished JaBo duties only in spring 1942. Bf109E-4/B of I./JG54, early 1941. Here is "White 1" of Reinhard Seiler, StaKa of 1./JG54. Also, here are emblem of 1./JG54 during early stages of war. Edited August 26, 2017 by I./ZG1_Panzerbar

Original_Uwe Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 Looks more appropriate for CoD panzer lol! Brilliant none the less. I tend to stay away from heavily mottled schemes like that, because aligning the mottle between different skin sections will drive me mad! If you can do it more power to ya!
707shap_Srbin Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Looks more appropriate for CoD panzer lol! But You need something to put on Your Bf109E's, isnt it? Its not my fault, that I./JG54 had only F-2 already on Eastern Front. So, You have to use Battle of Britain period skins
707shap_Srbin Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Another one JaBo Bf109F-2/B from 1./JG54 for You.
