no sound

i have no sound in game or menu and if i exit game then try to paly again it says its already running and wont start i have to restart pc to play again

Do other sounds in windows work ok? i have lost sounds couple of times. Both times it was because graphics driver update changed my primary playback device from desktop speakers to my monitor. I disabled monitor as playback device and it was fixed.

 

Sometimes it takes a while for the game to close when you get back to windows. So use ctrl-alt-del and task manager to check if the il-2 process is still running and end it manually if needed.
