IL-2 4k Templates started

Hi all,

 

My next templates will be for both version of the IL-2.  I felt it was time our namesake plane got some 4k love.

 

As usual WiP progress reports will be made available close to release.

First WiP shot.

 

Most weathering is done.

Rivets and screws done.

 

Panel lines are still work in progress.

 

My aim is as always, to update the standard 2k template to 4k by totally replacing panel lines, rivets, markings and other surface details.  I also redo most of the weathering to my own tastes.

 

I must stress I try to remain within constraints of the original sim panel lines and rivet layouts.

Base template is pretty much complete apart from some minor details.

 

New exhaust (if I can find it) and new flaps detail.  Then only the alpha layer to do.
