Bando Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Thanks. You wonder how many of these stories are still untold and (maybe) out there to be found.
BOO Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 This one emerges every so often "neat" - i could perhaps think of a few better words encompass my feelings at seeing Lazarev's remains. This story originally saddened me when i came across it a few years ago - the sight of the body laid out to be photographed like it was just another bit of the plane, the defensive position of the arms - but then i had little understanding of the cultural differences and the lengths the team went to later to find relatives and provide a fitting burial. I now think there was a good deal of respect shown - just not in a "western" way. But "neat"?
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 Sorry for offending your sensibilities, Boo, but you don't have to make something out of nothing either.
