OT - Forum password recovery alternative.

How about add a second alternative for recover forum password, besides the primarily email?

 

What happens to me - due my mistakes and Murphy Law.

 

 

 

In January I am a bit ill, missing the SMS informing about cellphone chip expiration, so lost that number (is a old cellphone leaved near computer for little use), but unfortunately registered for Gmail email SMS.

 

So I am no more able to recovery Gmail email password - for some reason they don't ask me about the secondary email in my accounts, and other options in their help end in nowhere.

 

Before know that cellphone was inoperative for unthought reason (dammed Murphy) I clear Chrome catch and need retype forums passwords, did this OK for all.

 

Minus IL-2 forum, last password change was in October, the noted one don't work, as well in tied Gmail email - basically the same password with different end, and since I am no longer able to access to that cellphone and Gmail ignore my secondary email for recovery code I am not able to recover email password.

 

Open ticked for IL-2 forum support describing that situation and inform other email for answer. *

 

Five days latter, after dozens of attempt I am able to access the forum and three days latter the Gmail account, and then discover the cause of wrong passwords:

 

A Saitek Cyborg joystick used for left hand plus Joy2Key for translate axes in keypress (WASD).

 

Frequently used passwords are not problem, as I type then fast, but the noted one for forum (10 letters, symbols and digits) take more time to type, in between

Cyborg axes spike, Joy2Key send keypress and login attempts end wrong.    

 

Some day I close STEAM and Joy2Key before power off the computer, and by luck resolve try Gmail login one more time, and this time with success - why I suspect of Joy2Key/joystick.

 

But now I that leave this "imbroglio" looking at forum account I don't find a second alternative for recover forum password.

 

* The forum support answer for - my then inaccessible email - was "Use Reset Password button", what I already did an will resulting in nothing, since I am not able to access that email.

 

Meanwhile I am able to access the game, password there was saved, but some future patch can reset then.
