Raven_1964 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Coming back to playing IL2 since a couple of years ago. Applying the airbrake in the stuka, the bomb releases at the same time. I've check to see if it was binded with another key press, but it is not. So, if anyone has any idea's how I might be able to correct this issue. It would be greatly appreciated. Raven
Lusekofte Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 If you look at the buttons assignment, do you have a red marking on the top to right? If you do you have the button assign to both bomb and airbrake and there is a conflict. If you have a software running your buttons like commands in the keyboard , you have keyboard command assigned to the same button
Raven_1964 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 I will check this when I get home from work tonight. I didn't think it has a red marking, but I will check. Thanks
curiousGamblerr Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 This definitely doesn't happen to me or anyone I fly with, so it must be one of the issues Luse described. Best of luck tracking it down! That's got to be annoying.
Raven_1964 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 Yes, because I haven't change anything on the key bindings that came with the game. All the assignments are stock from the game.
[CPT]Pike*HarryM Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 You have to make sure that if it a shift/alt/ctrl button that you release the 2nd key just a little before you release the shift key, it you try to release both at same time and are just slightly late on the shift it will register the 2nd key press alone. So if it is Shift-B and you don't let up the B slightly before it will sometimes read the B. Also my old Saitek X45 with the profiler would always read the 2nd key no matter what. There was a way around this but I forget what it was. I would up remapping most important things to their own single keys as there seemed to be keys completely unused.

Haha I have a x65f and I experienced the same problem, it would always release the bombs. After long hours trying to fix the damn thing I came to the conclusion that the best and easiest way to fix that is either change the "Drop bombs" or "Dive brakes" command to other button than the letter B.

=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Easiest way to fix and best for your gaming and way to remember them...REMOVE ALL KEY BINDINGS.REBIND THEM ALL TO WHERE YOU WANT THEM.DONE. 1
Raven_1964 Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Just assigned my pinkie switch on my Saitek X-55 to the right Alt key. So, I just press the pinkie switch and hold it, then press the airbrake button. That will work for me. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Raven

I have it mapped to left control and basically double all the buttons on the throttle. It also serves as good protection against accidental landing gear raising on the ground, or opening a German canopy during flight, etc. Edited February 15, 2017 by 19//curiousGamblerr
