Thanks for giving us the 190 back, DX11 and reworking the AI 1CGS!

Thanks guys, great job. I've flown it around a bit and now the 190 resembles the formidable fighter it should be. The roll rate seems snappier without needing rudder augmentation, and accelerated stall behaviour is much more manageable and keeping an AoA that allows energy management is now possible without laser technology. It's just so nice being able to pull lead on a target without ending up inverted and embarrassed. Also, it's possible to fly against the AI without them pulling 90 degree AoA to land ridiculous snapshots into your aircraft from absurd angles. The new AI really looks set to beef the SP game which is a big winner for everyone in the long run. This revision and the port to DX11 mean that decent sized air battles are now accessible for many!

 

Exciting times ahead! 

 

Frankly I'm surprised nobody has made this thread already! What's going on with that? Bunch of ingrates you are, shame on you all for not applauding the new FM and AI after all the nonsense and bickering we've had during the dark days of the old schizophrenic snowplough FM.  This is a big deal in my books and a great example of dedication and positive reform for the sake of authenticity and quality even when it's not the most profitable expenditure of resources. I understand that most people tend to be preoccupied with the new shiny stuff coming out but someone ought to stand up and tell you guys that your hard work in less prominent areas is appreciated.

Yeah, the devs are on a roll right now (actually have been for some time) with pretty much nothing but good stuff coming our way.

 

I was way happier with the "new" Fw 190 than I thought I'd be. It is so much fun that it has actually made me start flying Axis much more regularly.

Also brilliant to see that they included the 1.65ata system for the 190A5-Jabos..even after Jason told me a while ago they are likely not doing it. Perfect
