BOO Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Hi Start here https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/22623-mastiffs-set-and-settings/ The I5 may be a little for weak if its only clocking to 3.1GHz and the 750 will be pushing it to - That said, i had a 750ti and it worked well provided i didnt go mad with the settings. The Terrain at X3 might be better. Assuming that your playing 1080P, turn OFF distant grass and SSAO. HDR OFF Check that your processor cores are not parked - This has had a significant improvement for me. Google "CPU Core Parking Manager". Again i say for me - may not for you. In the Camera Setting turn off "Cinematic" and "Headshake". Whether or not you run the game full screen or in windows seems to vary from player to player. I run the game windowed (ie the full screen box unchecked) - I also dont use frame limiters even though i only have a 60htz monitor because it introduced a lot of stuttering for some reason (Other do without problem so try it both ways) Full screen will require you to use Vsync - I think the in game one is adaptive so try that first. You may not find a big issue here as i thing the 750 will struggle to push the frame rate above 60 in many situations (but will still push enough to give you smooth gameplay on everything apart from the occasional busy airfield). Finally, before you start messing about with gamma and reshade and all the other stuff later - calibrate your monitor - even the basic windows colour calibration will do. Hope this helps Regards BOO
Flying__Horse Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 Hey, thanks a lot Boo. Sure this is a strong hand forward. Greets, FH
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) Welcome to the wild blue.Sorry no offense to mastiff but those settings are somewhat wrong.1 - Triple buffering should NEVER be enabled and ONLY works in DX11 Full screen as of GTX8xx release date(it will only introduced input lag upto 100ms worth)Best (only) Profile for Nvidia cards (made for gtx780+ but will work on 750ti)**Disable ingame Vsync & Turn on Nvidia Vsync or if you have / know about Nvidia inspector Turn on "Fast Sync**(this will sync the game without tearing weather you pull 40 fps or 100 fps and it does not stutter or lock fps)Are you running full screen? While windowed is better for alt tabbing if you have only 1 monitor Fullscreen is generally better fps.Highly recommend for your card using Nvidia control panel FXAA and less ingame anti A (which is 2x or 4x MSAA slider 1, or 2)The misconception about FXAA blurring and how it works are plenty but Control panel FXAA is the SAME Quality as MSAAx2 but at the gpu cost of less than MSAAx1 almost nothing (maybe 1-3fps)In order to view 4K skins you will need to Run the game on ULTRA PresetYour card should handle this with a few adjustments to the "Graphics" section of your startup.configExample Disabling of Bloom,All Grass Off (distant = 300ft, normal=100ft barely visible once you take off)**DO NOT PASTE THIS CODE USE ONLY FOR REFERENCE** [KEY = graphics] adapter = 0 bloom_enable = 0 (Set to 0 to disable Bloom Lighting) desktop_center = 1 detail_rt_res = 2048 fps_counter = 1 fps_limit = 0 (Not needed with vsync or fast sync) full_height = 1080 full_width = 1920 fullscreen = 1 gamma = 0.90000 (can further lower gamma here if game gives you snow blindness) grass_distance = 10.00000 (this = 10ft grass seems to be minimum i can set) hdr_enable = 0 (HDR off) land_tex_lods = 3 (Dont change 3 = distant terrain x4 0= normal) mgpu_compatible = 0 multisampling = 0 (Recommend leaving this off and using Nvidia FXAA) or_enable = 0 preset = 3 (Graphics preset 3=Ultra 0=Low) ssao_enable = 0 (0=SSAO OFF) vsync = 0 (Disable ingame vsync) win_height = 1024 win_width = 1280 [END] No idea why the above code went all technicolour on me? Anyone know what i did wrong? What settings are you running in Terrain.cfg? (the default file downloaded from the forum page will be very near maxing out your Vram and also causing a much higher cpu load needed for frame and input processing)I would recommend altering terrain.cfg as very last thing after max fps and best graphics are achieved. These should help you for now.
