Navigation lights looks like ballons at distance, graphical glitch?

It cant be meant to look like this can it? it looks really wierd and stands out from everything else.

At night its like watching UFO\s everywhere....What is causing this, Im using ATI Radeon.

I am afraid it has always been like that, irrespective of system.  I fear that this is a MP thing: relating to avoiding airfield take-off/landing accidents.   I wish they would turn them off for the AI at least in SP, they look totally unrealistic.

Disabling Bloom helps a bit...well a lot

X:\Games\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Moscow\data\Startup.cfg

Then change this line as follows

[KEY = graphics]
      bloom_enable = 0

Actually those lights bubbles serve as additional camouflage to mask plane shape to recognize from friendly or foe
