FAE_Cazador Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Hi, I would like to extract last 5 minutes from a 55 minutes flight record (the most interesting part), how can I do it without creating a video file and editing it ? It think recording a track from a track is not possible. Cheers!
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 The game has a built in Replay editor where you can snip and remove bits.Maybe copy the replay file then edit the originalAlso they are not video files so to speak but recorded game information.then when you play video the game Renders it all again.
LLv34_Temuri Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Also note, that from time to time there are game updates that break the backwards compatibility of the tracks. So you'll want to record them as videos if you want to keep the tracks forever.
FAE_Cazador Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 (edited) Thank you, chaps! But I can only go fast forward or back in the track or edit the file name. How can I cut or remove bits of the track?. And the EDIT button at the bottom does nothing for me. I am talking about an online recorded flight track. Perhaps it only applies to off line tracks? I am not aware of the possibility to do so. You can do recordings with a capture software but you cannot cut the track as far as I know. Edited February 9, 2017 by 216th_Jordan
Nocke Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Is it not possible to record while replaying a track, as it was in the old IL2?
No601_Swallow Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Presumably you could copy the track file and then cut the copy down using the in-game editing facility. That would result in an "extract", I suppose.

(I suppose you don't mean the time bar) Im genuinly curious as some people here talk about a possibilty I have never even heard of and I use tracks a lot. So that would help me too. One thing for sure though: Recording a track from a track as in old Il-2 does not work here. Edited February 9, 2017 by 216th_Jordan

216th_Jordan Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 You cant just fraps your replay or did i understand something wrong? Of course you can always screencapture but then you got a screencapture and can't change views etc. (the most important thing with tracks for me).
