salimliu Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I found it tricky to look at the map in flight In CLod,we have a one click map. In Warthunder,I can see it thru my ipad. In this game ,i have to open it repeatly and confirm it. How did you manage to settle the map issue?
TP_Jacko Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 In expert mode I set the aircraft to auto level and quickly look at the map. Before take off work out the route and not when flying.
SYN_Mike77 Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I have the chpro throttle quadrant (the one with 6 levers and 6 toggle buttons) One of the toggles is set to bring up and dismiss the map.
curiousGamblerr Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Go to il2missionplanner.com on your iPad. Cheerios.
Feathered_IV Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I have the Left position on my hatswitch set to toggle the map. That way I can bring it up with a swipe of the thumb as I check my bearings outside the cockpit without stopping to look at a keyboard.

curiousGamblerr Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 great, thank you pal Happy to help. I haven't worked on it in a few months, but hope to get back to it at some point in 2017, after I get the sturmovik wiki off the ground. I want to add wind correction and polish what's already there. There's a thread in the 3rd Party apps subforum where you can report bugs or add suggestions. Enjoy! 2

The game obviously need a hand of 3rd party's work. They are short of manpower.
unreasonable Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I have the Left position on my hatswitch set to toggle the map. That way I can bring it up with a swipe of the thumb as I check my bearings outside the cockpit without stopping to look at a keyboard. I use a button in a similar manner. Problem is occasionally bringing it up by accident when in a panic in the middle of a fight..... The only thing I still cannot find the solution to is the briefing text coming up open by default when the "O" map is used. Once the text is closed, it stays closed, but you can close it during the pre-flight screen and then the first time you open it in flight the text is open again, requiring a mouse movement to get rid of it.
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 i dont get this...How hard is it to press o .Do it hundred of times per battle as my memory is terrible.just move hand and press it.if you are busy (in combat) you hardly need to look at the map much
