I know its crazy but one part of my brain ( probably the Lizard part...) keeps me checking in with the Forum in the mistaken belief it might hurry along the new planes like the P-39...A-20 & Hs-129...I know its crazy but I;' check in a few more times today just to make sure...

I find the addiction to this forum and game in general often quite tiring. Then I look at the steam reviews and see a current game rating of 55% and my heart bleeds a little. I just don't understand all this dissatisfaction, although it has surely gotten A LOT better in this forum but it remains nevertheless.

I think it comes down to the expectation that its a 1:1 translation and a simple transition for a WT player to come play IL-2 when the reality dictates otherwise.

Honestly if I were new new to the genre I don't think I would know where to start, have the patience for engine starts or apprecite the difficulty and history of the aircraft.

Yes maybe,

but not only this. Many of these posters also either claim "dev bias" (still), "devs just in for $$$"  or players can't complete the registration process (don't know if there are any real obstacles there or people are just unable to understand a process that requires more than 5 steps).

 

It really begs the question if it is possible for a combat flight sim product to grow in player numbers without getting dragged down on bias or whatever claims.
