It strikes me that the fighter variants of the Pe-2 are going to be more dangerous than I'd like.

It is only worse and more painful to get shot down by a Stuka :).

Stable FM? I think she is still a feisty one...

Why didn't you pick up speed after the Spin? Did you just hold back on the Stick until you crashed? That is the most basic thing you learn about Stalling anywhere. You could have easily recovered that Spin.

I think its quite obvious in the video I was trying to nose down but spin brough my speed to nearly 0kmh and the plane fell down like a leaf from a tree. You can see seconds before the fall that as my plane gain a bit of speed it allowed me to start pushing nose down but in desperation I start pulling up just before I hit ground, eventhough it was all little to late with not enough speed. It all happened at low alt as well so its not like I had time to save the day.

Also, i recreated this spin many times after in QMB and only 2 times I was able to recover at such low alt but only because spin was not that violent. I assure you, even your Master Jedi skills wouldn't recover from that situation in video. But try for yourself then teach me your ways master, if you succeed.

Will do! :)

I should add though I can easily throw it in the same spin with +600kmh too. It is much more stable if you quickly snap wings back and pull the Immelmann instead of High Yoyo.

In QMB I tested and performed Immelmann after deflection shot pulling such high Gs that I completely blacked out. I held my stick back as far as I could and only stalled later at the bottom of the loop. I have a video but crap upload speed so I didn't upload to youtube. I will later and post it here.
